FWSL: Shadia Nankya's strike sends UCU Lady Cardinals to Semifinals

UCU Lady Cardinals have earned a semi-final place in the ongoing FUFA Women Super League with a 1-0 win over Olira High School.

Shadia Nankya’s first half goal was just enough to send UCU Lady Cardinals to the Semifinals.
The goal came through a beautiful free kick well taken by the calm defender Nankya. Olila failed to respond with an equalizer as UCU looked determined despite their exhibited attack efforts as the Mukono based side carefully handled the game to the last minute and qualified for the Semifinals.

Today’s win for UCU led them to top Group B with 9 points, one point ahead of Lady Doves and will face Uganda Martyrs Lubaga Women Football on Monday 12pm.

Elsewhere, She Corporates put five past poor Isra Soccer Academy but failed to Qualify to semifinals in tears finishing third with 7 points.

Ronah Nantege, Suzan Atim , Namiro Noeline (2) and Phionah Nabbumba all were on target for the sharks but UCU Lady Cardinals win denied their chance of qualification and finished third.

The Semifinals will be played on Monday 3rd May 2021 at Fufa Technical Centre, Njeru.
