FUFA Women Uganda Cup: Kampala Queens, Kawempe knocked out

After losing a title deciding tie 2-0 against league champions Kawempe Muslim Ladies FC last Sunday, Kampala Queens lost 1-0 She Corporate to exit Uganda Cup.

The quarter-final tie was held on Thursday, the 30th May at Philip Omond Stadium in Lugogo.

The FUFA Women Elite League side She Corporate scored through the former Uganda Martyrs’ WFC forward Brenda Munaana just two minutes after kick off.

The loss is a testament that the Charles Ayiekho coached Kampala Queens ended the season with no silverware.

On the other hand, 2024 League champions Kawempe Muslim Ladies FC failed to make it to quarter final following their 4-5 loss to Byafaayo Queens after penalties in the round of 16.

Byafaayo Queens meet Wakiso Hill WFC in the quarter-final encounter due to take place on Sunday 02nd, at St Mary’s Stadium Kitende.

She Corporate joins UCU at the semi-finals. The Lady Cardinals of Mukono eliminated Lady Doves by 2-0.

The other quarter final fixture is set for this Friday as Asubo Ladies FC host Rines SS at Kawanda SS ground.

Round of sixteen results:
