FUFA Big league: Simbwa off pressure as Kitara go top, NEC, Police behind on goal disadvantage

FUFA Big League has continued to be interesting as the top four sides tightly race for the summit.

It’s been solace for Sam Simbwa Bamweyana as he registered his first win under Kitara FC away to Lugazi to bounce back to the top of the table.

Kitara FC earned a hard fought  1-0 against Lugazi Municipal, a game held at Kigaaya Primary School Grounds on Thursday evening.

David Kasaija scored the only goal in the game as Simbwa got off the pressure from fan for his first win since taking charge.

The other tie which was between the two table leaders Mbarara City and NEC FC

The two sides shared spoils in a two goal thriller held at Kakyeka Stadium in Mbarara City.

Henry Kitegenyi equalizer earned a point for Mbarara City, cancelling NEC FC’s 1-0 lead. Jonathan Ssewankambo scored for NEC FC.

A 10-man Police rose up to the challenge to thump Calvary 4-0. The win sent Police FC to the 3rd place on goal difference disadvantage behind leaders Kitara and NEC FC who have better goal advantage.

The top three teams in Kitara, NEC FC and Police are tied on 37 points as Mbarara City occupies the 4th place on 36.
