Federation of Uganda Football Associations (FUFA) has today Wednesday, the 2^nd November 2023 announced Joseph Paul Put as new Uganda men’s senior national team the Cranes.

Paul Put Joseph replaces Milutin Sredojevic (Micho) who was sacked on 14^th September 2023.

His immediate assignment will be against 17^th Guinea in Morocco before the second tie against Somalia on 21^st November.

We are a Federation that enter a competition to compete not to participate. We definitely focus on qualification to the 2026 World Cup. FUFA president Hon. Moses Magogo during the unveiling.

Paul Put has been awarded a two year contract, renewable depending on performance.

Over 250 candidates applied for the Uganda Cranes job after the announcement of Micho’s departure on 14^th September.

The Belgian has previously coached Guinea, Kenya’s Harambee Stars, Congo, Gambia, Burkina Faso, Club Algers in Algeria among others.
