Cranes intensifies preparations for 2022 Fifa World Cup

Uganda Cranes has intensified their preparations for the forthcoming FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 qualifiers.

The East African giants are gearing up preparations for upcoming games against Kenya and Mali.

According to head coach Milutin ‘Micho’ Sredojevic, the team had a great week of training and the players responded positively.

“We have had a great week of training with sessions in the gym and on the field,” Micho said before adding.

“The players have showed intent to deliver and this is good. We shall continue to monitor the performance for everyone on the team,” he added.

On Saturday, the team conducted a recovery session in the morning.

This was followed by a very detailed session at the African Bible University playground in Lubowa, off Entebbe road.

The sessions involved the thorough tactical thesis, varying match situations and physical drills both for the outfield as well as the goalkeepers.

Micho tested the players’ physic and tactical awareness throughout the interesting session before the team will be trimmed.

Uganda Cranes face Kenya Harambee Stars away on 2nd September 2021 in Nairobi.

Four days later, Uganda Cranes will host Mali on 6th September 2021 at the St Mary’s Stadium, Kitende. Rwanda is the other country in group E.
