CHOGA: Uganda Martyrs High Old Students’ Association launches Come Home Gala

Lubaga Uganda Martyrs’ Old Students’ Association (LUMOSA) launched the first edition of a gala dubbed “COME HOME GALA – CHOGA 2023”.

The launch was held on Wednesday, the 22nd of November at Ivy’s Hotel in Wakaliga Kampala.

 

Set to be held towards the final bend of year on 16th December, CHOGA menu card will be spiced up with football, pool championship and Ludo.

The other games on the day are Netball, three legged race, tag of war, running with an egg on the spoon and sack-race.

Speaking to the media during the launch, LUMOSA president Charles Robert Kasozi explained the importance of the gala and called upon all members to be part.

“This gala gives us a chance to trace our roots. The bond we have with this school started way back on everyone’s first day in the school as a student.

CHOGA intends to give an opportunity to young and old almni to come back, make connections, network, have fun and above all to discuss ways of participating in all the school’s developmental projects”. Kasozi.

16th December shall be completely fun through games. The event climax will be the awarding ceremony to the winners of different disciplines and the overall champions.

The launch was graced by the association patron who also double as a school’s Board member Dr. John Ssekamatte.

“This gala is going to be unique. It’s one of the best ways to celebrate our origin.

This institution imparted high values into our us. It’s because of the values we acquired from Lubaga that we became what we are today.

As a Board member, CHOGA is the greatest step for the school to shine more in all spheres”. Dr. Ssekamatte.

Competing in these games will be under cohorts. A cohort is determined by the year one joined the school.
