Vipers SC head coach Roberto Oliviera Robertinho has selected a 18-man squad to travel to DR Congo for their CAF Champions League return leg game against TP Mazembe on Saturday.

The Venoms departed Entebbe International Airport in the wee hours of Thursday morning aboard Kenya Airways.

Bright Anukani is back after sitting out Sunday’s stalemate at home against TP Mazembe with a groin injury but Ibrahim Orit remains unavailable as he started his rehabilitation process after suffering a dislocated shoulder.

Frank ‘Zaga’ Tumwesigye misses out after contracting malaria while Najib Yiga is out as he starts his Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE) exams on Monday next week.

Vipers must register victory on Saturday if they are to make it to the group stages of the competition.

Vipers travelling squad

Goalkeepers: Fabien Mutombora, Alfred Mudekereza.

Defenders: Murushid Juuko, Livingstone Mulondo, Dissan Galiwango, Hilary Mukundane, Isa Mubiru, Ashraf Mandela, Bashir Asiku.

Midfielders: Abdu Lumala, Bright Anukani, Marvin Joseph Youngman, Siraje Sentamu, Olivier Osomba.

Forwards: Cromwel Rwothomio, Yunus Sentamu, Milton Karisa, Abubakar Lawal.
