Al Ahly head coach Pitso Mosimane has hailed Percy Tau following his brace that helped his side secure a vital win over ES Setif.

The Red Devils cruised past ES Setif in a 4-0 victory in the first leg of the CAF Champions League semi-finals on Saturday.

Taher Mohamed, Mohamed Sherif, and Percy Tau were all on the scoresheet as Al Ahly are now on the verge of qualification to the final for the third consecutive season.

Tau was the star of the show for Al Ahly and has been named man of the match having scored a brace and providing an assist for the third goal.

Head coach Pitso Mosimane was full of praise for Tau following the game and expressed his delight for the South African star after finding his rhythm again.

“After his goal drought, he scored in an important game in the semi-final of the CAF Champions League.”

“I know that we have a problem in finishing our chances but we need to be calm about it and I am happy that we managed to score four goals.”

“ES Setif are a strong team and they had chances to score, but the sending off certainly helped us and we capitalised on it but this is football,” he added.

ES Setif will be without midfielder Amir Karaoui in the return leg after receiving a red card for a reckless challenge on Hussein El-Shahat.

The two sides will face again on Saturday May 14 in Algeria.
