Busoga United register first victory with win against MYDA
Busoga United finally registered their 2020/2021 StarTimes Uganda Premier League maiden victory with a deserved 1-0 victory against MYDA in a game played on Tuesday afternoon at FUFA Technical centre in Njeru.
Substitute Shaka Ssozi scored the only goal in the game with a header just a minute after coming on in the second half.
The struggling visitors barely threatened but were almost gifted a chance to equalise when Busoga goalkeeper Rogers Omedwa lost possession but Moses Batali fluffed his effort.
Both sides had wobbled through a poor first half before Busoga got to the top of the game in the second half played under a scorching sun.
Busoga’s maiden win leaves MYDA and Kitara as the two sides yet to take maximum points.
Busoga United now moves to eight points after a win that has put an end to three straight losses while MYDA remains 15th with just three points from 13 games played so far.
