Uganda Cranes and Motherwell FC defender Bevis Mugabi claims that Uganda has the capacity of making it to the 2022 FIFA World Cup.

Uganda will open their campaign away in Kenya on Thursday September 2nd before hosting Mali four days later at St Mary’s Stadium in Kitende.

According to Mugabi, Uganda’s opponents are not threatening and therefore the East African giants should dream big/

“I don’t see why we shouldn’t be aiming to qualify,” Mugabi was quoted by FIFA official website.

“My view is that we shouldn’t limit ourselves in our goals and ambitions. And I don’t feel that going to the World Cup is unrealistic for us.”

“With the young players we have coming through, I don’t see any reason why we can’t be in the picture to make it to Qatar,” he added.

Uganda targets their maiden World Cup qualification under Milutin ‘Micho’ Sredojevic.
