Andrew Kawooya, Derrick Kakooza Fail to cut Into as Alpha Ssali Makes Final U-20 Squad

Morley Byekwaso, the head coach of the Uganda’s U20 (The Hippos) confirmed the final 20 man travelling squad for the Total CAF U-20 Zonal Qualification tournament to Tanzania.

However, it shocks many as multi-talented midfielder Andrew Kawooya and Derrick Kakooza failed to cut into, and Alpha Ssali makes final squad.

The two in one (CECAFA and AFCON zonal qualifiers) tournament will kick off on 23rd November to 6th December 2020 in Arusha, Tanzania with nine teams set to lock horns.

Team Uganda is to fly out of the country to Tanzania aboard Uganda Airlines on Friday morning, the 20th November 2020.

Uganda was pooled in group B along side South Sudan and Burundi.
Group A is composed of hosts and defending champions Tanzania Somalia and DjDjibouti, whilst group C is made up of Ethiopia, Kenya and Sudan.
