AFCON U20 UPDATE: Kasinde on target as Hippos register a slim win over Jinja North United

The Uganda Hippos defeated FUFA Big League side Jinja North United FC 1-0 in a friendly match at FUFA Technical Center Njeru

Ibrahim Kasinde scored the only goal in the second half that gave Uganda Hippos victory.

The Hippos are in preparation for the 2023 AFCON U-20 tournament that will be played in Egypt starting on 19th February and end on 11th March in the cities of Cairo, Ismaillia and Alexandria.

The team is currently in a residential camp at FUFA Technical Center Njeru.

 

They are in group B alongside Central African Republic, Congo Brazzaville and South Sudan

The Hippos will be making their second appearance at tournament following their first in 2021 in Mauritania. They finish 2nd behind eventual winners Ghana.
