FBL: Nyamityobora goalie Musinguzi targets top flight football ahead of second round
Nyamityobora FC custodian Tonny Musinguzi is optimistic that he will be able to lift his side up to the StarTimes Uganda Premier League next season.
In the first round of the FUFA Big League, Musinguzi made five clean sheets and saved all the four penalties that has been given against him.
In their first game in Luweero, he saved a penalty against Ndejje university, he again saved two penalties in Kabale against Kigezi Homeboyz before saving another one against Water FC in Kakyeka Stadium.
“Am so happy that I have tried to help my team where they needed me and am looking forward to be helping them more and more and am glad to be a Nyamityobora fc player until we take it back where it is supposed to be in Super League,” Musinguzi told this website.
About the resignation of coach Richard Makumbi, Musinguzi is hopeful that the management will settle the issue with the coach so that they get the work done.
“I just got too from the news that he may depart due to an payed salary but am really confident that things are going to good soon and our beloved coach will remain with us until the job is done,” he said.
Nyamityobora is currently second on the Rwenzori group table with 14 points two below table leaders Tooro United.
