The competitions commettee of women football have this evening decided to shift Kampala Queens game against Makerere University WFC from a muscle straining artificial mat of FUFA Technical Centre Njeru to Kakindu playground.

The decision was forcefully imposed into officials today evening in meeting held at Njeru between the club’s officials and the competitions committee.

Three clubs including Tooro Queens, Makerere University WFC and Uganda Martyrs LWFC were all against the decision but eventually threatened and forced to accept.

The two games that will climax group A were initially planned to be played at the Njeru. However, Uganda Martyrs WFC who have the same points (6) with Kampala Queens are to use the muscle straining artificial mat against Tooro Queens as opponents enjoy natural grass.

It’s critically evident that Kampala Queens who was favoured by referee Anna Akoi to win Tooro Queens 2-1 shall need to win tomorrow’s game against educationists Makerere University with a margin of 4 and above goals as they play for a 1-0 or a loss for Uganda Martyrs against Tooro Queens.

Kampala Queens and Uganda Martyrs LWFC are both level on six points but Martyrs stands in second position with a goal difference advantage compared to Kampala Queens’ -2.

The Queens badly lost their opener 4-0 Kawempe before bouncing back to win 1-0 against Uganda Martyrs and dubious and controversial 2-1 win over Tooro Queens.

The top two teams in Group A will automatically qualify for Semifinals.
