Airtel Masaza Cup final returns to Hamz Stadium after 12 years

The Buganda Airtel Masaza Cup final is set to make a triumphant return to Hamz Stadium in Nakivubo on November 1, 2025, after a 12-year hiatus.

Minister for Youth, Sports, and Talent Development, Owek. Robert Serwanga, confirmed the news during a press briefing at Bulange Mengo, citing renovations at Mandela National Stadium as the reason for the change of venue.

This marks the first time the Masaza Cup final will be held at Nakivubo Stadium since 2013, when Mawokota edged Ssingo 1-0 courtesy of a late Farouk Miya goal.

The stadium has undergone significant renovations and is now ready to host top-tier regional football action once again.
