2021 Masaza Cup final: Buddu beat Buwekula to win second trophy

Buddu beat Buwekula 2-0 to win the 2021 Masaza Cup final at St Mary’s Stadium in Kitende to clinch second title.

Team captain Marvin Kavuma and Bruno Bunyaga scored for Buddu at a full capacity St. Mary’s stadium.

60 minutes into the game, skipper Marvin Kavuma headed home off Gideon Odongo freekick to send the 2016 champions into a 1-0 lead.

Only 13 minutes later, Bruno Bunyaga’s close range strike sealed Buddu’s victory with a 2-0 scoreline.

The final that was graced before his Majesty the Kabaka Ronald Muwenda Mutebi Kimera II saw goalkeeper Michael Lutaya of Buddu being named the Most Valuable Player, Isaac Musiima (Buwekula) tournament top scorer with six goals while Buwekula was given the Fair Play award for being the most disciplined team.

Bulemeezi through Gabriel Eragu’s lone strike beat Mawokota 1-0 to finish third.
