UPL: ‘We lost concentration in the final third against SC Villa’ – Odoch

Express FC head coach James Odoch claims that his side lost concentration in the final third during their 2-1 loss against SC Villa.

The Red Eagles failed to collect maximum derby bragging rights when they lost to rivals SC Villa in a mouthwatering counter on Sunday 5th March 2023 at Muteesa II Stadium Wankulukuku.

Forward Allan Kayiwa scored for the Red Eagles while David Owori and Sheif Batte netted for the SC Villa as they continue to enjoy their fine form.

“It was a Derby and any result would be expected! We prepared and played well as a team but lost concentration the final third.we return to drawing board to see that we win the next fixtures,” James Odoch said.

Meanwhile, Denis Otim claims that it was a disappointing day in office for the Wankulukuku based side.

“It is disappointing loss today. We made a mistakes and didn’t capitalize on the advantage.its tough times now but we will bounce back,” Otim said.

The win pushed SC Villa to the place second on the log with 31 points from 17 games, overtaking third placed BUL FC who are on 29 points and Vipers who dropped to the fourth on 28 points.

Express FC currently occupy the 11th position on the table with 18 points from 17 games played.

The Red Eagles will return to action in the Uganda Cup Round of 16 against Paidha Black Angels SC.
