UPL: URA FC Wins as KCCA, SC Villa Come From Behind to Register Draws

New comers Malaba Youth Development Association (MYDA) shall have to wait for their first premier league win after a 3-2 defeat to visitors URA FC at King George IV Stadium in Tororo.

Forward Cromwel Rwothomio scored a hat-trick for Uganda Revenue Authority (URA) who bounced back from a recent 2-1 defeat against Wasswa Bbosa’s charges Express FC.

Norman Ojik and Ibra Nsimbe’s goals were not enough for MYDA to register a point in this tie. The Malaba based side remained winless in their 7 games of the season since being promoted to the top tier division. Their only have a point in the league that came from a six goal thriller against Mbarara City which ended 3-3.

In the other game of the day, Wakiso Giants lost a 2-0 early lead to draw 2-2 with the 16 record champions SC Villa at Kabaka Kyabaggu Stadium in Wakiso.

Striker Kipson Atuhairwe scored for Wakiso in the 11th minute and an own goal from Villa’s right full back Joseph Nsubuga in the 28th minute.

Substitute Salim Abdallah pulled a goal back for SC Villa in the 53rd minute before he scored a heartbreaking equalizer in the added.

At Wankulukuku, hosts Express FC through striker Eric Kambale almost inflicted a 4th straight loss to the 13 time league champions KCCA FC. However, forward Charles Lwanga’s late header leveled matters as the Kampala Derby ended 1-1.
