Uganda Cranes squad of 26 players off to Congo for final AFCON 2025 qualifiers tie

The Uganda Cranes have flow out of the country early this Sunday morning to play their final match of the AFCON 2025 qualifiers against Congo Brazzaville.

This tie is scheduled for Tuesday, the 19th November 2024 in Brazzaville.

Head coach Paul Put named a 26-man squad for this encounter who have traveled after the 2-0 defeat to South Africa Mandela National Stadium, Namboole last Friday.

The 26 players include KCCA FC’s youngster Shafic Nana Kwikiriza who missed the South Africa match to be at school for his UACE Examination.

Despite securing qualification last Thursday after South Sudan’s win over Congo Brazzaville, Uganda Cranes are currently second in Group K with 10 points, just one behind leaders South Africa.
