Titus Ssematimba scored on his return to the team as Wakiso Giants beat UPDF 1-0 at Wakissha on Saturday.

The midfielder scored from the spot after a hand ball in the area that stopped a goal bound shot.

Alex Gitta made a couple of changes from the team that started in Arua with Ssebuufu, Ssenfuka and Alex Komakech all starting.

With Edward Satulo suspended and Fahad Kawooya injured, Namwanja slotted in at centre back with Komakech slotting in at left back.

It was a commanding performance from the Wakiso Giants as they defended well and could also get more goals but Ssebuufu was denied by Brian Bwete in UPDF goal.

Ivan Bogere could have won a penalty after coming on for Kasule but referee waved play on when Bwete appeared to have brought him down in the area.

Captain Hassan Ssenyonjo returned to the team after missing several games through injury as we held on for maximum points.

Wakiso GInats move to fourth position on the table with 19 points while UPDF FC remained fifth with 17 points.
