SUPL: The players are ready to give their best against SC Villa – Isabirye
BUL FC head coach Alex Isabirye claims that his side is well-prepared to pick maximum points against SC Villa.
The two sides will face off on Tuesday at FUFA Technical Center.
The Eastern Giants are in a second successive game away from home and will be on the lookout for nothing less but victory after dropping points against URA FC at the Arena of Visions last time out.
Alex Isabirye’s men negotiated a perfect come back in that affair after Steven Mukwala and Shafik Kagimu gave the hosts a two goal advantage but Musa Esenu and Joseph Semujju fired back to level the game and also maintain their positive run in foreign territory.
“We are playing Villa tomorrow way after an intense game away to URA, I expect players to have recovered well and ready to give us their best.”
“We shall not take Villa for granted like many underrate it for using teenagers but this is a team which is from drawing to defending champion Express in their previous outing.”
BUL occupy fourth place on the table with 10 points to show from their five matches, and a win off the Jogoos will send them third and level on points with Vipers who sit second on the log.
For SC Villa, this will be their fourth outing, floating 13th in rankings with a tally of four points following their energy supping draw with Express the last time they took to the field.
This encounter will be the 21st league meeting between the two sides since 2011.
Defender Walter Ochora is back from suspension while Simon Peter Oketch is still struggling with match fitness.
Talisman Martin Aprem will miss out tomorrow’s game after accumulating yellow cards but again South Sudanese international is back in contention having been rested during URA game.
The two teams have for now met in 20 UPL matches since December 2011. The fixture has produced four wins for BUL, seven for SC Villa and nine draws.
