Ben Ocen scored a brace and one from Yusuf Ssozi and Derrick Kakooza for Police in their 4-1 round of 16 first leg tie win held on Sunday 2nd May 2021 at Philp Omond Stadium in Lugogo.
Police exhibited dominant in the opening half, taking a lion’s share of the possession and game command confirmed with a 3-1 lead.
Ben Ocen’s first minute goal gave Police FC an early 1-0 lead before Joseph Janjali’s quick answer with a sole to level matters at 1-1 just 13 minutes into the game.
Police through Yusuf Ssozi regained their lead converting Tony Mawejje’s explicit pass in the 22nd minute before Ben Ocen made it 3-1 at just 33 minutes played.
Bright Stars bounced back with great resilience until Ben Ocen released Derrick Kakooza to score the 4th for Police in 75th minutes.
The two sides will meet on Wednesday for a return leg in Kavumba to confirm the aggregate winner of the tie.
