SLAU defeats Royal to retain top place on table as MUBs, Buganda Royal share spoils

St Lawrence university over took Buganda Royal to returned to the top of the table after with a 4-2 win against Buganda Royal in a six goals thriller staged at FUFA Technical Center in Njeru on Tuesday 13th April 2021.
SLAU scored through Sulaiman Ochero in the first period which they won 1-0. Buganda Royal equalized through Peter Wasswa to win the second period 0-1.
SLAU again took the control in the third period of the game extending the lead to 3-1.
Through Baker Lukooya, Kikonyogo Jonathan and league’s top scorer Swaleh Ssimbwa SLAU scored while Ambrose Kigozi the second top scorer of the league netted for Buganda Royal.
A win pushed SLAU to the league table summit two point clear off second placed Buganda Royal who have 16 point and a game more than SLAU.
In other games played today MUBs drown 4-4 with Buganda Royal while Mutoola defeated Entebbe Sharks 8-5 and drown 4-4 with Kiringente.
The league which has been on since Thursday 8th April at Njeru shall commence tomorrow Wednesday 14th April with four more games on the menu card.
Controversial moments dominated to the MUBs and Buganda tie as two of MUBs officials Adam Kato and Munir Saidi were shown matching orders by referee Ivan Kintu Bayige for unsporting behavior after high temper rising moments.
