PEPSI UNIVERSITY LEAGUE: The 2024/25 UFL draws held, Muteesa I Royal University to debut this season

It’s confirmed the 2024/25 Pepsi University League will kick off on Monday, the 16th September 2024.

The confirmation comes after the draws exercise held at Kati-Kati Restaurant in Lugogo, Kampala this morning.

Buganda Kingdom owned Muteesa I Royal University will make their debut at this year’s edition.

23 universities will be part of the competitions drawn in six groups.

Defending champions Nkumba University who will be in Lagos for Africa University championship at the beginning of the season were pooled in group A.

They (Nkumba) will face off with Busitema University, Islamic University in Uganda and ISBAT.

Group B is composed of Makerere University, Kumi University, Victoria University and Ndejje.

Last year’s finalists Uganda Christian University were pooled in Group C. The group also has Kabaale, St Lawrence University and YMCA.

Kampala University, Gulu, Bugema University and Kampala International University (KIU) are in group D.

Uganda Martyrs (Nkozi), Muni University, IUEA and University of Kisub (UNIK) form group E.

Group has only three teams Makerere University Business School (MUBs), Mbarara University and new entrants Muteesa 1 Royal University.
