Lugazi FC Parts Ways with Coach Sadick Sempigi After Poor Start

Lugazi FC has mutually agreed to part ways with head coach Sadick Sempigi, effective immediately. This decision follows a disappointing start to the season.

In a statement released on Friday afternoon, CEO Sulait Abdul Swamadu expressed gratitude to Sempigi.

“Lugazi FC and Head Coach Sadick Sempigi have mutually agreed to part ways. We appreciate his tireless efforts and services during his tenure and wish him the best in his future coaching endeavors.”

Sempigi’s tenure ended after just five games, with Lugazi FC sitting at the bottom of the table with only 2 points from a possible 15.

His final game was a 1-1 draw against Mbale Heroes in Lugazi on Thursday, October 17.

Assistant coach Oliver Mbekeka will take charge of the team temporarily as the search for a new head coach begins.

Lugazi FC’s next challenge is a Uganda Premier League match against Express FC, where they seek their first top-flight victory.

The club’s swift action aims to correct their poor start and revive their season.
