Kitara Football Club duo Denis Omedi and Brian Ssenyondo have today, Friday the 15th March 2024 scooped the February Pilsner Uganda Premier League player and coach.

The awarding Ceremony was held this morning at Kati Kati Restaurant in Lugogo.

Kitara head coach Brian Ssenyondo was crowned the UPL coach of February.

He beat Hussein Mbalangu of NEC, and URA FC’s David Obua to glory.

In charge of Kitara, Ssenyondo guided the club to three wins and a draw in four games to go unbeaten in February.

In the players category, Omedi beat off competition from SC Villa’s Patrick Jonah Kakande and Express’ Isaac Wagoina who made the nominees shortlist.

The Kitara forward Omedi scored five goals and an assist in four games played in February two more than both Kakande and Wagoina.

“This is a huge motivation to me as a player and will help me work better on the pitch as I take it game by game”. Said Omedi.
