George Ssenkaba, Deus Bukenya score as Express FC stun Police at Lugogo

Defending champions Express FC left it late  this evening at Philip Omondi Stadium in Lugogo to win host Police FC.

New signing Deus Bukenya, George Ssenkaba and Juma Balinya scored for either sides respectively.

Deus Bukenya scored for Express fc from a free kick following a foul on Kambale by Ssemugera Misi Diego to earn the visitors an early lead just 12 minutes into the game.

In the 35th minute of the game, Police FC through forward Balinya’s sole effort with a well taken short leveled matters. The first stanza ended in a 1-all draw.

The second half barely produced less action from both parties except a few moments the were realized.

In the final minutes of the game, midfielder Mahad Yaya Kakooze stage magic to assist George Ssenkaba who scored the most needed winner for Express FC.

This was Wasswa Bbosa’s return from a three match ban following his unsporting comments after his side’s 2-0 loss to Arua Hill SC in their league opener at Wankulukuku.

Express FC lost their two opening games 2-0 and 1-0 against Arua Hill and UPDF respective before defeating BUL FC 1-0 and holding on to draw 2-2 with 2021/22 StarTimes Uganda Premier League title favorites Vipers SC.

Abdallah Mubiru’s coached side (Police FC) is yet to win a game this after five match day.

The cops lost all their five opening fixtures so far. They have gone down to Vipers, BUL, Wakiso Giants FC and SC Villa.

In their next engagement, Express FC face SC Villa in the country’s famous derby at Wankulukuku, whilst, Police FC will be on the road to Greenlight Stadium to face West Nile giants Onduparaka on 20th November 2021.
