Federation of Uganda Football Associations (FUFA) is in hunt for a goalkeeping coach to replace Fred Kajjoba who was axed from the Cranes camp for flouting camp rules.

Kajjoba who recently missed the Cranes trip to Dubai in November as Uganda was preparing for Afcon qualifiers double header tie against South Sudan, is having a sour relationship with his bosses (FUFA) with all odds tip his goalkeeping coach at Vipers sc Ibrahim Mugisha to parmanently take over.

His suspension from the camp confirms he will not be part of the Cranes CHAN contingent to Cameroon this Monday, 28th December 2020.

In FUFA’s statement, kaKajjo was released from camp for not observing camp regulations.

“FUFA has released one of the Uganda Cranes technical staff Fred Kajoba after not being able to observe the camp regulations at the Team Hotel in Kisasi which require all members of the contingent to follow the strict Covid-19 SOPs.

Kajoba will therefore not travel with the Uganda Cranes Contingent on Monday 28th December 2020 when they fly out of the country for a pre- CHAN tournament in Cameroon in preparation for the Total CHAN Finals that starts mid-January 2021.

A replacement for the goalkeeping coach will be named by the FUFA Executive in due course.”  Reads the statement on FUFA website.
