Crested Cranes forward Fauzia Najjemba has completed a move to Russian side Dynamo Moscow Women Football Club.

She joins as a free agent and will Don shirt 20.

Najjemba has previously played for Isra Soccer Academy, Kampala Queens before she joined Kazakhastan champions BIIK Shymkent on 16th February 2022 on a two year deal.

Crested Cranes flying winger signed a three years employment contract that will keep her at the Russian giants up to 2025.

Most remembered for her 2021 sublime run, Najjemba,  finishing as the top scorer for Uganda at the CECAFA U20 Women’s Championship with eleven goals in five games.

She had previously in 2019 inspired the Isma Mukiibi and his assistant Shafik Mutebi coached Mukono High School to the semi finals of Uganda Secondary Schools Sports Association (USSSA) Nationals in Mbale.

 

She further took the same run to Federation of East Africa Secondary Schools Sports Association (FEASSSA) games to reach finals. They only lost to Uganda giants Kawempe Muslim in the final held at National Stadium in Arusha, Tanzania.

Apart from the USSSA Nationals semi final against finalists St. Noa-Zana and FEASSSA final against Kawempe Muslim, Najjemba scored in over 24 fixtures in the year’s secondary schools calendar.

In 2019, she was part of the deadly trio comprising of Juliet Nalukenge and Margret Kunihira that tormented giants at the COSAFA championship in Mauritius.

Uganda were eventual winners after a hard fought win against giants South Africa in the final.

She was also named the FUFA Female Footballer of the Year in 2021
