Abdallah Mubiru sacked by Police FC
Police FC have announced the sacking of head coach Abdallah Mubiru following a string of poor results.
The club went on to announce that John Luyinda Ayala has replaced Mubiru on interim basis.
Mubiru has been head coach of the club for the past five seasons and the longest serving coach in the league.
His departure comes after the club disappointingly lost 3-0 to fellow relegation strugglers Mbarara City at Kakyeka on Tuesday.
Tony Mawejje who is also the club’s captain has been announced as a player coach to work with Luyinda.
In a press statement released by the club, the club says they will continue to discuss with Mubiru to agree on the way forward for the better future of both parties.
The Cops are on the brink of relegation and dangerously hang above the red zone in the 13th place with 24 points.
