FBL: Clash of the table summit as second placed NEC host leaders Kitara FC
Seven games will spice up the Thursday 9th March in the FUFA Big League menu card as the fight for promotion and survival intensify.
The big one of day will be between first against second as table leaders Kitara FC visit NEC FC at Bugolobi Coffee grounds.
Both teams are tied on 37 points, with only goal difference advantage push Kitara FC on top of the table.
In their their last games, NEC faced off with Mbarara City FC and played to a one all draw at Kakyeka while Kitara FC defeated debutants Lugazi FC 1-0 in Kigaya.
Kitara FC will have to negotiate this fixture without first choice goalkeeper Farouk Yawe who is nursing an injury
The winner of the day will automatically take the top of the table position
It’s seemly a hard time for fourth placed Mbarara City in their visit to Kataka FC in Mbale. Mbarara would love to keep the pace onto leaders with maximum points.
However, a visit to Mbale has always not been easy.
The Ankole Lions failed to defeat NEC FC at home, playing to a one all draw hence occupying the fourth position with 36 points one point below the first, second and third.
At Nakisunga grounds in Mukono third placed Police FC will face off with Kyetume FC targeting victory which can see them on top of the table.
The Cops have 37 points same as Kitara FC and NEC in the first and second positions respectively.
Northern Gateway will be fighting for survival as they host Kaaro Karungi.
The hosts are bottom placed with only 14 points while Kaaro Karungi is eighth with 25 points.
