SUPL: Esenu’s first half double enough as BUL sinks SC Villa

Musa Esenu scored two first half goals to guide BUL FC to a 2-1 win against SC Villa in the StarTimes Uganda Premier League game played at FUFA Technical Center in Njeru.

In the 10th minute, BUL FC’s Joseph Semujju swung in a well laid cross from left side to meet Esenu but he jumped high to head it off bar.

BUL’s Hillary Onek had a long range shot from right wing misses by an inch in the 15th minute.

In the 25th minute, Esenu headed in a well laid cross from Hillary Onek to give BUL FC a lead.

SC Villa’s Oscar Mawa peeled away from his marker but BUL FC’s goalkeeper Saidi Keni made a great save.

In the 32nd minute, Esenu’s volley missed by an inch as he looked to double BUL’s lead.

SC Villa was reduced to 10 men in the 41st minute when Mawa was sent off for fouling Madoi.

In the 44th minute, Esenu scored second goal for BUL FC to double their lead.

Esenu then missed a close tap to give BUL FC what would be third goal for the Eastern Giants in the 64th minute.

SC Villa pulled one back in the 79th minute through Isaac Ogwang following a killer pass from the defender Kenneth Semakula.

A win left BUL FC in third on the StarTimes Uganda Premier League table while SC Villa is 13th with four points.
