Playing for URA FC has always been on my mind – Ssekajugo
Forward Vianne Ssekajugo claims that playing for a big club like URA FC has always been on his mind following his move to the tax collectors.
Ssekajugo signed for URA FC on a two-year employment contract following the expiry of his contract at Wakiso Giants.
“It would be deceiving if I told you that playing for a massive club like URA wasn’t on my mind,” Ssekajugo said during his unveiling at URA FC.
“Now that it’s reality, I just can’t wait to step on the pitch and represent this gigantic club in the best way possible,” he added.
Prior to his move, the forward is said to have had talks with the Purple Sharks who also double as his former bosses.
All arrangements however agonizingly fell apart between the two parties with allegations that the forward demanded much to renew his contract.
Ssekajugo scored 13 goals last season in the UPL for the Purple Sharks.
He previously played for Masaka Local Council and Onduparaka FC in West Nile before joining Wakiso Giants.
He becomes the seventh official signing for URA in the ongoing transfer window.
He joins Derrick Ndahiro, Baligeya Simon, Andrew Okiring Isiagi, Living Kabon, Said Kyeyune and James Alitho.
