Buddo SS, STAHIZA pitted in Group A as Kyadondo, JIPRA fell in C

The highly anticipated 2025 Uganda Secondary Schools Sports Association (USSSA) U16 National Boys Football Championship is set to kick off, following the group draws that have generated immense excitement among fans and teams alike. The draws have pitted giants Standard High School-Zzana and Buddo SS in Group A, setting the stage for one of the most highly rated group stage matches of the tournament.

Buddo SS, buoyed by the success of their senior team (U20) who recently won the boys’ football National tournament in Ngora, will face stiff competition from Muntuyera High, Masaka Citizen, Nyamweru Seed, and Mpigi Mixed in Group A. Meanwhile, Group C promises to be equally thrilling, with Kyadondo High School and Jinja Progressive Academy poised to clash in a highly anticipated group stage tie. They will be joined by St. Mary’s High School Mbale, Bishop Ruhindi SS, St. Kizito SS Masaka, and host St. Peter’s College Tororo.

The tournament, which features 24 school teams divided into four groups of six each, will kick off this afternoon and run until July 19th. Prior to the commencement of games, screening and verification of players will take place.

Surprisingly,  last year’s champions, 1st and 2nd runners up Janan Luwum (Luweero), Al Noor (Masaka) and Panyadoli are not participants at this year’s edition.

2. Seroma Christian High School

3. St. Mary’s High School Mbale
4. Bishop Ruhindi SS

Group D:
1. Teso College Aleot
2. God’s Way High School
3. Bishop Comboni
4. Green Hill
