Youthful SC Villa signs in the 2021/22 season with victory

The 16-time record UPL champions launched their campaign with a 1-0 win against Police FC at Kavumba Recreation Ground on Friday, October 29, 2021.

Young-star Saddam Masereke striked late to earn the important three points for the youthful Jogoo side in the 83rd minutes after replacing Oscar Mawa in the 57th minute of the game.

The win ended a stalemate run of between the two sides in their past five meetings.

With an overhaul made in the playing and technical staff, SC Villa look a different side in execution with the patience when they lose the ball and too confident and comfortable on the ball.

The Jogoos’ opener has late come after three match days following their omission from the league by FUFA due to leadership issues.
