Ugandan Government Offers Free Tickets to CHAN Classification Match

In a gesture of appreciation to the football supporters who have shown unwavering support throughout the tournament, the Ugandan government has announced that it will be granting free tickets to fans for the third and fourth place classification match between Sudan and Senegal.

The match is scheduled to take place on Friday evening at Namboole Stadium.

28000 Free Tickets Available

According to Dr. Dennis Mugimba, a total of 28,000 tickets have been purchased by the government through the local Organizing Committee and will be issued free of charge to fans.

To avoid black market tickets, fans are required to collect their tickets from the CHAN website without paying.

Call to Fill Up the Stadium

The Organizing Committee has urged fans to fill up the stadium as Uganda bids farewell to the tournament.

This final match presents an opportunity for fans to come together and support their favorite teams.

Lessons Learned and Future Plans

As the tournament comes to a close on Saturday, Uganda has reflected on its achievements and challenges. Dr. Mugimba highlighted the country’s progress, noting that Namboole Stadium has the best hybrid grass among all training and match day grounds in East Africa.

The government plans to maintain this standard at Hoima Stadium and Lira.

Call for Investors

The government has also issued a call to capable investors to position themselves to offer support services to the Africa Cup of Nations, which will be hosted in East Africa in 2027.

This presents an opportunity for investors to be part of a major sporting event that will bring economic benefits and showcase the region’s hospitality.
