UFL quarterfinals draw revealed: Muteesa 1 Royal University to face Bugema

The highly anticipated quarterfinals draw of the University Football League was conducted on Thursday at Kati Kati Restaurant, Lugogo bypass.

The draw has set the stage for exciting matchups, with debutants Muteesa 1 Royal University paired against Bugema in the quarterfinals.

Muteesa 1 Royal University topped Group F with nine points to secure their spot in the quarterfinals, while Bugema emerged as winners of Group D with an impressive 13 points.

The quarterfinals will be played over two legs, with the first leg scheduled between March 18th and 22nd, and the return legs taking place between March 24th and 28th.

In other quarterfinal matchups, Kampala University will face Islamic University In Uganda (IUIU).

Kampala University finished second in Group D with 12 points, while IUIU, who have reached the quarterfinals for the first time in seven years, topped Group A with 12 points.

 

Uganda Martyrs, who have had the best performance so far this season, collecting 16 points out of a possible 18, will face the second-best team in the quarterfinals.

The second-best team will be either Nkumba or Makerere, who are still vying for the top spot.

Meanwhile, the winner between St. Lawrence and Uganda Christian University will face either Ndejje or Makerere, setting the stage for thrilling encounters in the quarterfinals.
