The stage is set for a thrilling encounter in the Uganda Secondary Schools Sports Association (USSSA) Wakiso District Boys football final, as two old rivals, Buddo Secondary School and St. Mary’s Boarding Secondary School-Kitende, renew their rivalry.

Both teams secured their spots in the final after hard-fought victories in the semi-finals.

Defending champions St. Mary’s Boarding Secondary School-Kitende edged out Standard High School-Zzana 1-0, thanks to a late header from forward Santos Agok.

Standard High School proved to be a resilient and tactical opponent, but Kitende’s determination paid off in the end.

In the other semi-final, Buddo SS overcame Greenlight Islamic Secondary School-Nansana 1-0, setting up an exciting final against Kitende.

The two teams have a history of intense matches, and this final promises to be no exception.

The road to the final was marked by impressive performances from both teams.

Kitende dominated Kakungulu High School 6-0 in the quarterfinals, with Isaac Tibenkana scoring a brace and goals from Santos Agok, Arafat Nkoola, and Mwondha Jaidi.

Buddo SS, meanwhile, secured their spot in the semifinals with a 1-0 win over Kyadondo SS, thanks to Dickson Barasah’s crucial goal.

Standard High School Zzana and Greenlight Islamic Secondary School-Nansana also impressed in the quarterfinals.

Standard High School Zzana eliminated Madina Islamic 1-0, with forward Benon Lutaaya scoring the decisive goal.

Greenlight Islamic Secondary School-Nansana, on the other hand, edged out Cityland College 1-0, thanks to a long-range goal from magical winger Thomas Kawooya.

The final will take place on April 15th at Kabaka Kyabaggu Stadium, where Kitende won last year’s title with a 1-0 victory over Buddo SS.

Will Kitende retain their title, or will Buddo SS emerge victorious? The stage is set for an electrifying conclusion to the tournament.
