The Rise of New Queens: St. Noa Girls claim championship title with dominant win over St. Mary’s Kitende

In a thrilling repeat of the 2024 finale, St. Noa Girls emerged victorious over St. Mary’s Kitende, winning 50-36 at the 2025 USSSA Games in Bukedea.
The dominant performance marked St. Noa’s championship win, capping off an unbeaten season.
St. Noa established a strong lead from the outset, taking a 15-5 advantage in the first quarter.
Despite Kitende’s efforts to close the gap, St. Noa maintained a 10-point lead at halftime and continued to dominate in the second half.
This win marks a sweet revenge for St. Noa, who lost to Kitende in the 2024 finale with a score of 31-28.
However, St. Noa has consistently performed well against Kitende, winning the USSSA Qualifiers in Wakiso this year with a score of 54-43 and also in 2024 with a score of 67-49.
The experience of St. Noa’s players, including Bushira Namayanja and Modesta Anyango Maxine, who represented Uganda at the FIBA Women’s Afrobasket Qualifiers in Egypt and the U18 Afrobasket in South Africa, played a crucial role in their championship win.
