The 31st Kabaka Coronation golf tournament tees off with caddies

Under the theme “Men leading the fight against HIV/AIDS to save the girl child”, the 31st Kabaka Coronation anniversary golf tournament has teed-off with a caddies category at Uganda Golf Club, Kitante course on a wet Monday, the 22nd July 2024.

Senior caddy Bruce Gumoshabe outshined the rest with 6-over-78 gross score to win the best overall male player.

In the ladies’ category, Robinah Angom, handicap 13 emerged emerged the winner with 87 gross.

Eighty (80) caddies took part a one day tournament for 18 holes.

Out of the 80, 12 were women and 68 men. The tournament that commenced in the morning was shortly disrupted by the mid-day heavy rain and games were put to halt.

The two day Gross amateur championship play of 36 holes will follow on Thursday, 25th-26th July an before open amateur championship series at the climax on Saturday, 27th July 2024.

At the end of the all four day series, at least 500 golfers will be involved. Sponsors, well-wishers and other partners are rallied upon to join the tranquil organization.

The theme of the tournament is men taking the lead in the fight against HIV/AIDS to protect the girl child.
