St Noa Girls secure CAF Africa Schools final spot with dominant win over Morocco in Ghana

St Noa Girls Secondary School-Zana has advanced to the final of the CAF Africa Schools Girls Football Championship in Accra, Ghana, with a convincing 2-0 semifinal victory over Morocco.

Captain Giovanna Aketowanga Sunday scored the opening goal in the first half, while Lydia Namaseruka sealed the win with an early second-half strike.

St Noa Girls will face hosts Ghana in the final on Saturday, April 26, at the University of Ghana in Accra. Ghana reached the final by defeating defending champions South Africa 3-2 in a thrilling encounter.

Throughout the tournament, St Noa Girls has remained unbeaten and yet to concede a goal in four games, scoring nine goals in the process.

The team topped their group with a perfect record, winning all three matches against South Africa, The Gambia, and DR Congo.

The winners of the championship will receive $300,000, with the runners-up and bronze medalists receiving $200,000 and $150,000, respectively, to support development projects in schools.
