The highly anticipated grand finale of the St Henry’s College Kitovu (SHACK) League season two is just around the corner, scheduled to take place on Sunday, March 30th, 2025, at the St Lawrence University playgrounds.
The local organizing committee members recently addressed the media at Jevine Hotel in Rubaga, revealing the exciting plans for the culmination of the season.
According to Tonny Muliika, chairperson of the local organizing committee, the SHACK League embodies the values of St. Henry’s College Kitovu – integrity, excellence, and community.
“The second SHACK League will climax this Sunday, and all preparations are in place for a successful ending,” Muliika stated.
The day will begin with a Holy mass at 9 am, dedicating the season to God, followed by 17 matches, including the conclusion of the Califo Kings Cup and the Gutter Kings Cup.
Eight teams have qualified for the quarterfinals in each cup, showcasing the best of St. Henry’s College Kitovu’s football talent.
The Califo Kings Cup features teams such as Jabbarians, Mbookya Warriors, Apetta Kings, and Kawo Rioters, while the Gutter Kings Cup includes teams like Ntuli Kings, Bacereal, and Kata Bavarians.
Brian Charles “Omutegeke” Ssenyonga, the head of technical, explained the decision to divide the league into two cups. “We divided the league to create the vibe we have had this season,” Ssenyonga remarked.
The grand finale promises to be an exciting event, with performances from music Diva Vinka and old student Ragga Dee.
Beyond the excitement of the matches, the SHACK League also has a commitment to giving back to the community.
The league will donate balls and a brand-new set of jerseys to the current football team of the school.
Additionally, the SHACK Old students plan to contribute to the painting of the school and organize a medical camp, demonstrating their dedication to corporate social responsibility.
