Masaza Cup: Minister Ssekabembe, Organizing Committee, Decolas Kiizza Inspect Njeru

Buganda minister for youth, sports and recreation Henry Moses Ssekabembe Kiberu together with Masaza cup organizing committee chairman Hajji Sulaiman Ssejengo, members of the committee and FUFA deputy CEO in charge of football Decolas Kiizza have today 1st December inspected FUFA Technical Center in Njeru ahead of this year’s opener.
The team went to ground to observe how possible the games can be played with all SOPs observed.
Ssekabembe encouraged all parties to take responsibility to ensure a successful tournament.
“As we play our roles, let all parties do so for the success of this tournament.
We believe there are a lot of challenges but we assure the fans that this year’s edition shall take place.” Ssekabembe.
A total of 560 people including players, officials organizers, referees and journalists who will be part of this tournament are to be tested for Covid-19 starting on the 10th this month.
His majesty Kabaka Ronald Muwenda Mutebi Kimera II is expected to officiate the opener between holders Bulemezi and Butambala on the 12th December 2020.
Buganda Kingdom took over of all costs to be incurred including the 500,000 registration fees, testing, transport, feeding, accommodation as teams will only carter for only signing and players’ allowances.
