Kyadondo SS, Sseke SS soar to victories in 2025 UMEA Solidarity Games

Kyadondo Secondary School has made a flying start to the 2025 UMEA Solidarity Games, securing two resounding wins on the opening day.

In their first match, Kyadondo SS thrashed Kasawo Islamic Secondary School 4-1, with goals from Joseph Kabira, Raphael Masud, Ellis Tiedhomu, and John Kokas Omugul.

 

Despite dominating the match, Kyadondo SS was wasteful in front of goal, but their clinical finishing was enough to secure a convincing victory.

In their second match, Kyadondo SS continued their winning streak, defeating Kisaasi Muslim 5-0.

Henry Muwanguzi opened the scoring, and Joseph Kakooza and Masud Rafael added a brace each to seal an emphatic victory.

In other matches, Kasana Vocational held 2023 champions Kawempe Muslim Secondary School to a 2-2 draw in a thrilling encounter.

Sudaisi Balikoowa and Emmanuel Kapere scored for Kasana, while Rayan Ssekitooleko and Abdulahuman Mutebi netted for Kawempe.

Sseke Secondary School, meanwhile, registered two wins, defeating Kisaasi Muslim 5-0 and Kasawo Islamic 3-0.

Mbogo Mixed also secured a 4-0 win over Bilal Islamic Secondary School – Bwaise.

The tournament was officially opened today, with Ntenjeru North constituency Member of Parliament Hon. Amos Lugoloobi officiating the ceremony in the presence of Umar Mitala, the assistant RDC of Kayunga District.

The games promise to be an exciting celebration of sportsmanship and friendly competition among participating schools.
