Kitende Storms into CAF Africa Schools Semifinals with Convincing Wins

St. Mary’s Boarding Secondary School-Kitende has made a remarkable turnaround in the CAF Africa Schools boys football championship, bouncing back from a 2-0 defeat to hosts Ghana in their opening match.

The Kitende boys secured two impressive wins on day two, defeating Algeria 4-0 and thrashing South Africa 4-1 in their final group stage match.

The victories were fueled by standout performances from Henry Muhoozi, Nabir Kajjumba, Ashiraf Kyakuwa, and Yasin Nsubuga, who scored the goals that propelled Kitende into the semifinals.

Under the guidance of coach Hassan Zungu, Kitende finished the group stage in second place with two wins, scoring eight goals and conceding three.

In the semifinals, Kitende will face Group A leaders Senegal, while hosts Ghana take on defending champions Tanzania.

Kitende’s determination and skill will be put to the test as they aim to progress further in the championship.
