Kinyara Sugar  Invitational Squash Tournament launched

The 2025 Kinyara Sugar Invitational Squash Tournament is set to take place from September 22 to 27, featuring 100 players from Uganda and Kenya competing for top honors and a share of UGX 8 million in prize money.

Kinyara Sugar Limited has stepped in as a major sponsor, providing a sponsorship package worth over 30 million Uganda shillings.

The tournament promises to deliver a mix of passion, pride, and top-class squash, with Uganda’s leading names, including Paul Kadoma, Ivan Wasswa, Jonathan Wagemire, and Elizabeth Musimenta, heading the home lineup.

They will face tough competition from visiting Kenyan standouts James Dalidi, Joseph Sean, and Jane Njeri.

Francis Mugerwa, Public Relations Officer at Kinyara Sugar Limited, emphasized the company’s commitment to giving back to the community.

“As Kinyara Sugar Limited, we are pleased to support the second edition of the Kinyara Sugar Invitation Squash Tournament.

The sponsorship will cater for awards and general organization of the tournament.

We give back to the community in many ways, not only through sports, but we also repair community roads, support education, health infrastructure development, and a wide range of community programs.”

The tournament is expected to be a highlight of the squash calendar, showcasing the best of Ugandan and Kenyan squash talent.
