Kawempe Muslim to miss three key players in their last do or die group one game against Makerere
Uganda’s Women football power house Kawempe Muslim Ladies FC faces a huge blow of missing their three star players including the goal poacher Juliet Nalukenge, center back Stella Musibika and Asia Nakibuuka ahead a do or die final group game against Makerere University football club.
The three left the team camp in Njeru to sit for their national “A Level” examination which started this week on Monday.
The goal poacher (Juliet Nalukenge) played two games in the group stages and managed to record an assist in the opening game against Kampala Queens. After the second game that they lost 1-0 to Uganda Martyrs LWFC, the 2019 MVP travelled back to school to do her S.6 exams and she will not be available for Friday’s game.
Defender Stella Musibika missed the first game that they won 4-0 against Kampala Queens on Monday 19th but arrived at Njeru in the evening and featured in the their 1-0 loss to Uganda Martyrs LWFC.
She was also part of their third encounter against newbies Tooro Queens which they won 2-0 and finally left the camp at 3pm for Thursday exams.
The third player is the versatile Asia Nakibuka. The versatile defender played all the three group stages games but left to go to school on Wednesday evening ahead of her Thursday papers.
Kawempe Muslim Ladies FC have won 2 games (4-0 and 2-0) against Kampala Queens and Tooro Queens respectively, and lost one to Uganda Martyrs LWFC. Kawempe have scoring 6 goals and have conceded 1, topping group A with 6 points and a difference of five goals.
Kawempe Muslim Ladies FC have to win their last group stages game to qualify for Semifinals.
