The FUFA Women Super League (FSWL) table leaders Kampala Queens continue their serious hunt for the 2022/23 trophy at the resumption of the second round with a convincing 3-1 win against Asubo-Gafford Ladies.

Queens came from a goal down to remain perfect, registering their tenth straight win of the season on match day ten.

Forward Zaitun Namaganda scored for Gafford to acquire an early lead midway through the first half at Kampala Quality Playground.

Kampala Queens rallied back with goals from Elizabeth Nakigozi, Margaret Kunihira and Sophia Nakiyingi to earn the leaders maximum points.

In the second game of the day, Rines beat Uganda Martyrs Lubaga to moved out of the relegation zone.

The hard fought 1-0 win over Uganda Martyrs Lubaga was held at Kabaka Kyabaggu Stadium in Wakiso.

Eva Naggayi  scored from the spot to hand Rines maximum points and move to 10 points.

The Lubaga based side’s debutante defender Stella Namisango was given matching orders during the loss.

Uganda Martyrs remain second on the log, 11 points behind table leaders Kampala Queens

Uganda’s giants Kawempe Muslim who had a poor first round run started the second round with a 1-0 victory against Uganda Christian University (UCU) Lady Cardinals.

Allen Nassazi’s second half close range as Kawempe Muslim defeated UCU Lady Cardinals at the deadly Valley Ground.

There looks to be a serious redemption in the reigning champions’ camp She Corporate following their convincing 3-0 win against Makerere University.

Joan Ainembabazi grabbed a brace as Noeline Namiiro added the other for the Sharks who poorly performed in the first round.

The win lifted She Corporate to fifth place on 14 points while Makerere dropped to second from bottom on 8 points.

Elsewhere, Olila High School stunned Lady Doves with a 1-0 win in Masindi on Saturday.

Sheilah Galenda scored in the eighth minute to inspire the Soroti City giants to an important away win

Olila are now fourth on the table with 15 points, two places and points above Lady Doves.
