FIFA U20 Women World Cup: Uganda eliminate Kenya to storm third qualification round

Uganda’s U20 Women national football team beat Kenya 3-1 at St Mary’s Stadium Kitende on Friday 8th October to storm the third round of the African World Cup qualifiers.
Gifted winger Margaret Kunihira, midfielder Hadijja Nandago and lethal forward Juliet Nalukenge scored for Uganda as Peris Oside picked Kenya’s consolation.
The 3-1 win for Uganda confirms a 10-3 aggregate score after two legs. The first leg in Nyayo Stadium in Nairobi, Kenya ended 7-2 in favor of visitors.
Uganda will face winner between South Africa and Mozambique later. South Africa heads to the return leg with a 1-0 lead.
Only two nations will represent Africa at the 2022 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup in Costa Rica.
Giants Nigeria, Ghana Ethiopia and Gabon are the other countries that have confirmed third round slots.
