Starting in the 2024/25 season, this league will develop young players for senior teams in the Futsal Super League and Futsal Uganda Cup, providing a platform for youth players to showcase their talents and grow the popularity of futsal in Uganda.

According to Abubaker Kakule, FAU Competition Director, this initiative will positively impact the development of futsal in our country, providing opportunities for young players to grow and succeed.

The league will run concurrently with the Futsal Super League, featuring players born on or after January 1, 2008, and 2009.

The tournament will kick off on December 20, 2024, with a mixed format:

Teams will be grouped into three groups of four teams each.

The top two teams in each group and the two best third-placed teams will qualify for the quarterfinals.

The remaining teams will play classification games.

Semifinals and finals will determine the winner of the inaugural competition.

This league aims to foster young talent and enhance the growth of futsal in Uganda.
